1. Information We Collect

When you use MomentClip, we may collect:

• Video files you upload and clips generated from them (temporarily stored according to the retention periods below)
• Usage data such as processing mode selected, job status, and timestamps
• Technical data including IP address, browser type, and device information
• Email address if you contact us or create an account

2. How We Use Your Data

• Process your uploaded videos and generate clips
• Improve our AI models and service quality
• Respond to support requests
• Send service-related communications
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Video Data

Your uploaded videos are processed using third-party AI services (OpenAI for transcription, Anthropic for analysis, pyannote.ai for speaker diarization). Source uploads are deleted as soon as processing no longer requires them. Generated clips are automatically deleted 7 days after processing for users who were not signed in and 30 days after processing for users who were signed in when they uploaded. We do not use your video content for training AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate MomentClip:

• OpenAI — Audio transcription (Whisper API)
• Anthropic — Transcript analysis (Claude API)
• pyannote.ai — Speaker diarization
• Vercel — Frontend hosting
• DigitalOcean — Backend infrastructure

Each provider has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data processed through their services.

5. Data Retention

Source uploads are deleted as soon as processing no longer requires them. Generated clips are automatically deleted after 7 days for users who were not signed in and after 30 days for users who were signed in when they uploaded. Account data (if applicable) is retained until you request deletion. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging and service improvement.

7. Security

We protect your data with:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for data at rest
• Automatic deletion of uploaded videos and generated clips under the retention periods above
• API key authentication for service access

8. Cookies

MomentClip uses only essential cookies required for the service to function. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
